Spent an interesting day helping out an Keap / Infusionsoft travel client today

I am always keen to experience new things and not do the same things day in day out. So when an Keap / Infusionsoft travel client found himself short staffed at the Telegraph Travel Show at the Excel Conference Centre in London today I jumped at the chance to help out and do something different for the day. As a marketer, I found this a great experience to interact with customers and prospects one 2 one, which is so often lacking these days in this online world. But from the experience the client and myself got a greater insight into the customers’ mindset, we made sales, we had fun and were even able to shoot some videos for landing pages and Facebook ads.

Here is an example of the videos we were able to achieve with just an iPhone, lavalier mic (£4 from eBay) and the client’s talent in front of the camera. OK, there may be a bit of camera shake, it’s not perfect but 80% is good enough to do the job and it took 5 minutes to do, no big Hollywood budget and production crew required. These days video is king, website visitors prefer to sit back and consume video than put in the effort to read a 5000 blog post – so why do so many companies squander valuable free opportunities to create videos to promote their businesses?
