Creating content on your website is a sure way to get listed on Google searches and so attract visitors to your website. A brilliant book on this very subject is “They Ask, You Answer” by Marcus Sheridan and you can read more about that in this blog post.
But what most marketers forget is that not only does Google love new content, but it loves updated content too. So it is important to also update and refresh your existing content. How many times have you looked at a piece of copy written 6 months or a year ago and thought how outdated it looks. So it is important to refresh and update your content on a regular basis.
But when you have maybe hundreds of blog posts and pages how do you prioritise which ones to work on? To help me I use Google Analytics to work out what are my most visited pages. And then focus on important pages and improve them to increase visitors to the site.
