How to move Opportunities automatically in Infusionsoft / Keap Classic

Sometimes when using Opportunity records in the Sales Pipeline (in Infusionsoft / Keap Classic) you may want to automatically move them from one stage to another. How do you move Opportunities automatically in Infusionsoft / Keap Classic?

As an example – say an opportunity has been in the Working stage for a long time and the salesperson has not moved them to say the Lost stage. Rather than have these opportunity records simply build up and become unmanageable so we may want to automatically move these to the Lost stage and clear them out of the Working stage.

There are a few ways to do this.

1. Use a tool like the Novak Solutions – Advance stage tool (create a free account to see this tool).  It’s a simple tool (and you can use it for free) that will take ALL the opportunities a contact has and move them to the new stage. It does not update Next Action notes or dates. This may suffice for your requirements if a contact only every has one opportunity record linked to it.
2.  Parsey is a much more sophisticated too. It’s a connector tool like Zapier. But Parsey is able to update specific opportunity records and move the stage, next action date and next action notes. The setup, is however more complex. 3. If you know a tame developer then using the API they could build a bespoke tool for you to move and update the opportunities as you require.

My favourite solution to move Opportunities automatically in Infusionsoft / Keap Classic is –  2. Parsey. It gives me the flexibility to update individual opportunity records and with a bit of practice is relatively easy to set up.
