Hi
LinkedIn Showcase pages. This is how I see they work and how you can use them from a Google SEO point of view and for LinkedIn search optimisation.
So once you have a regular LinkedIn company page you can set up up to 10 separate Showcase pages, these are like sub pages. Each one can have a different TITLE with different keywords. So it gives you 10 shots to create unique content for your business that can be picked up by Google. All good.
Then from my initial experiments with LinkedIn search capability these Showcase pages seem to work best on long tail key terms. So if you company name was eg ACME. If someone searches on this then the search could reveal (depending on competition) both the Company page and the Showcase page (provided ACME was in the title of each). Now, say you have a product called “Product XYZ” and you have a Showcase page called “Product XYZ by ACME”. Then from my tests all other possible matches including competitors will drop out (plus your main company page) and your showcase page will be left standing alone as the only option to be selected. So LinkedIn search is looking to deliver as closely as possible what the searcher has requested. So if you can choose wisely the keywords in your Showcase pages you can increase your exposure to LinkedIn searchers.
This is just my experience so far with these pages, I would be interested to hear if you have anything to add on the subject.
