What is the best way to create landing pages for Keap / Infusionsoft?

Post update 16 Feb 2021

The Keap / Infusionsoft Campaign Builder now has landing pages built-in, these are comparable to Lead Pages and saves paying an additional £500/ year cost of a separate Lead Pages or Squeeze PAge Tool Kit subscription.

Here is the link to the Keap / Infusionsoft help page for the new landing pages.

What is the best way to create landing pages for Keap / Infusionsoft is a question that frequently comes up with clients.

Here are 4 ways, with the advantages and disadvantages for each method.

1/ DIY approach. Either you or your web designer can create the landing pages as and when required and incorporate an Keap / Infusionsoft form in the landing page. The advantages are that the page can look exactly as you wish. Disadvantages are that it is time consuming and so costly to create and then replicate pages if required.

2/ Within Keap / Infusionsoft. You can create landing pages for Keap / Infusionsoft right within campaign builder. In campaign builder simply select the landing page goal and then a bit of customisation and you are ready to go.
The advantages – no extra cost, quick to set up, easy to customise and easy to manage within the Keap / Infusionsoft campaign. Disadvantages – pages hosted at Keap / Infusionsoft and not on your domain. The page format is rather dated looking and “blocky”.

3/ Third party systems – like Lead Pages and OptimzePress. The marketing gurus all seem to recommend “Lead Pages” or “OptimizeePress”. Both of which I have tried with clients. Advantages are – templates are great for anyone starting out, quick and simple to set up, modern looking, have the option to host pages on your domain. Disadvantages price (around £500 a year), difficulty getting your branding to fit right, can be inflexible i.e. only capture name and email address. Great if you have simple requirements but you may quickly outgrow these systems.

4/ Third party system – Squeeze Page Tool Kit. This I have found the best solution. Advantages – the template is much more customisable – you can rearrange the page, add and take away elements, count down timers, Facebook comments, testimonials etc. Integrates very well with Keap / Infusionsoft. You can use the form hosted at SqueezePageToolKit , or host it on your own domain via a free WordPress plug- in if you use WordPress. And if you have still not converted to WordPress (there must still be a few out there!) you can even embed the landing page HTML on a non-WordPress site. You can create Facebook tabs and squeeze pages on Facebook at the click of a button. It even has pop-ups you can add to your site to capture more prospects.

The disadvantages. Like other third party systems you will never be able to get the page exactly how you want, the only way would be to custom code by hand, BUT this is the next best solution for most internet marketers. It is not free, the Standard edition comes in at £250 a year (see below for a deal) which is lower cost than other third party systems that are out there.

So from my experience of creating and managing landing pages for Keap / Infusionsoft I would say that option 4 is the best. But don’t take my word for it? Dan at Squeeze Page Tool kit will give you a 30 day free trial, take it for a test drive, that’s how I saw that this was the best system – or I am happy to give you a short demo, just give me call.
