Keap Classic / Infusionsoft Opportunities. What are they & how to use them

Keap Classic / Infusionsoft Opportunities enables businesses to manage a One 2 One sales process. So are ideal for businesses that do not take orders and payments online. So “Bricks & Mortar” type businesses which rely on selling via meeting and talking to people. . So a few examples – dentists, accountants, architects, consultants. So firstly, some editions of Keap do not contain Opportunity records and I have worked with clients who have previously bought the wrong version of Keap and become confused when the cannot find the opportunities module in their Keap.

Opportunity records are only available in Keap Classic. The quick way to see if you have Keap Classic / Infusionsoft  AND Opportunities is when you open the main menu in your Keap Classic / Infusionsoft app you will see this option.

You will only “see” Opportunities in your Keap Classic/ Infusionsoft application.

So to get your head around Opportunites. There are two types of records in Keap Classic / Infusionsoft. The standard Contact Record, so we use these to store contacts name, address, tags, custom fields. And we have Opportunity Records. Opportunity records store the details of a specific opportunity to sell something AND IMPORTANTLY Opportunity Records can be linked to a persons contact record.

So Contact Records are permanent, whereas Opportunity Records are temporary and focused on a specific opportunity to sell something.

Once you understand the two different types of record then you can see that we can build out a Sales Pipeline process to manage the sales process.

Understanding this now gives us Keap Classic / Infusionsoft users a huge advantage over all other systems like Salesforce, Pipedrive and that is because with the Campaign Builder we can build a system that assists the salesperson. Using the Campaign Builder and the Opportunity Stage Moved Goal.
