If you are an entrepreneur in the UK and you have either just signed up or considering signing up for Keap / Infusionsoft then I would say that this could be the smartest decision you have made.
But you should bear these points in mind.
Keap / Infusionsoft will become the backbone of your company – it can support and link so many parts of your business with a view to generating sales. So it requires someone to manage it that is fully committed to its success. The ideal person of course is you, but that is often not an option as you only have 24hrs a day! Keap / Infusionsoft is not something that can be dabbled with – you either embrace it fully or you should not bother! And yes, Keap / Infusionsoft is time consuming to both learn and maintain. But the rewards can be tremendous -I know I have seen with previous and current clients.
So to get started with Keap / Infusionsoft, of course you have the training that Keap / Infusionsoft supply when you sign up – and of course you should take this training. But you may find that this training covers only the basics and does enable you to get fully set up for your business. (But I would add that the dedicated ongoing Keap / Infusionsoft support for UK clients is a fantastic free resource and a great development over the past couple of years for us Keap / Infusionsoft users here in the UK.)
So if you do not have the time to manage Keap / Infusionsoft yourself -what do you do? Well obviously you have to find someone else to do it. So you can either give it to a member of staff, hire someone in or find someone who specialises in Keap / Infusionsoft (hint, hint 🙂 )

But joking aside, I have seen first hand what happens when entrepreneurs hire someone who has no experience or interest in pro actively developing the Keap / Infusionsoft application- (be it a recent graduate or a website designer or developer). Without the dedication and continuity of one person an Keap / Infusionsoft application can quickly cease to work efficiently. Keap / Infusionsoft requires someone dedicated to the cause who understands the intricacies and history of your particular set up.
So if you charge a recent graduate or developer in looking after your Keap / Infusionsoft application then they most likely do not have the real dedication and combination of skills to make Keap / Infusionsoft marketing successful. To master Keap / Infusionsoft successfully requires a certain technical ability and no doubt a developer can master Keap / Infusionsoft. But what a developer is unlikely to have is the entrepreneurial flair and experience to “connect all the pieces together” to create a sales generating machine. So to be successful with Keap / Infusionsoft requires a rare breed of person – someone who is both technically savvy and is marketing orientated.
I would say that I fit this bill. I estimate that I am a blend of 35% technical and 65% marketing. My background is large volume mail order selling by direct mail, which is in effect where ecommerce has evolved from. What I found back in 2009 was that in order to sell online I needed a system that enabled me to do this (an off the shelf email system like Aweber, Constant Contact etc etc were just not good enough) – hence I started using Keap / Infusionsoft over 4 years ago and this opened the doors to internet marketing for me. Keap / Infusionsoft to me is a tool to generate sales, nothing more – it is not a new shinny piece of software with fancy bells and whisltes to spend my time with – it is a serious tool that generates sales.

(If you are new to Keap / Infusionsoft and are considering signing up. Then check out this video presentation I created that introduces the concept of Keap / Infusionsoft and Life cycle Marketing. It is 26 minute long, but it would give you a better insight into Keap / Infusionsoft.)
