Use the Goggle CAPTCHA on Keap / Infusionsoft web forms hosted on WordPress sites

If you are an Keap / Infusionsoft and WordPress user then are probably aware of the not so pretty CAPTCHA code that we can insert in to our forms in order to prevent robots automatically filling in our forms.

But now with the Google Captcha their is an alternative for WordPress sites. So there is a way to use the Google CAPTCHA on Keap / Infusionsoft web forms and it looks like this (please note I have not added any styling to this form)

[infucaptcha]

So how do you use this on your website?

There are a few stages in this set up.

  1. Install the WordPress plug-in  GG Infucaptcha reCaptcha for Keap / Infusionsoft.
  2. You then need to configure this by linking it to Google. Here is the page for that https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/index.html
  3. Then every time you embed a form in your WordPress page insert the shortcode supplied by GG Infucaptcha reCaptcha for Keap / Infusionsoft just above it.

BUT, the version of the form you install on your page must be the HTML unstyled version. (as per above). But to make it look pretty in the “GG Infucaptcha reCaptcha for Keap / Infusionsoft” plug in you can add CSS styling to make it look pretty and you may have to ask your web designer for help with that.

HOWEVER, when you view the published page you will probably find that WordPress has tweaked the code and instead of seeing your form you will see the raw HTML code for the form. Now if you have a web designer they can probably fix this for you. But if you don’t then the solution I used quickly on this page may help you.

So to get an Keap / Infusionsoft web form embedded on your WordPress page or post.

1 Install the plug in FusionForms by codeBOX  on your WordPress site.

2 Configure this with your Keap / Infusionsoft App name and API key.

3 To add the form to your page. In the buttons in the editing panel for your page or post you will see a button with “FF”. Click this and you can open a drop down selection of all your web forms and this will then embed the code for the form directly into your page. Neat.  Just remember to insert the short code above it to make the Google CAPTCHA work.

4. A word of warning. This plug-in takes your form and inserts the code in the correct format. However, if you then later Update the page then WordPress once again strips out the code so you will have to replace the form each time you Update this page.
