The two most difficult parts to managing any affiliate programme for an affiliate manager are:
1 Affiliate recruitment to your programme – just getting them to sign up.
2 Getting those newly recruited affiliates to at the very least get the affiliate tracking link live on their site.
These are the two big hurdles that every affiliate manager faces.

Now the affiliate networks such as Affiliate Window, ShareASale, ClickBank et al. have all built up thousands of affiliates on their books, but the affiliate manager still has to get them to join the programme and start actively promoting your offer. And from what I have seen the large affiliate networks do not do much to help with the two main hurdles I have just pointed out.
Now I am a big fan of Keap / Infusionsoft for marketing automation – for generating sales from prospects and customers. And guess what, it has a great affiliate module built in. But the added benefit that not only can you automate the sales process to prospects and customers, but you can also automate the marketing of the affilaite programme to potential affiliates. So you can use automated marketing to first recruit those affiliates and then build automated campaigns to engage and turn those new affiliates into active affiliates that generate sales for you and commission for them.
I have not seen any other CRM/ Automation system that is capable of this -and even Keap / Infusionsoft do not promote it as a feature!

In summary. Keap / Infusionsoft comes with it’s own comprehensive affiliate module built-in. Now the benefit of this is that you can apply the same automation to recruiting and engaging with affiliates that you can with your customers. So it can save you time and increase your efficiency when affiliate marketing. No other affiliate network or off the shelf affiliate programme that I know of comes with this power.
