One tip that can increase your eBay trading profits today!

When I am speaking with eBay and Amazon traders I am always amazed at how much money they are “leaving on the table”.

And it is not just a few, I would say it is at least 80% of those I have spoken with.

Let me explain. My background is traditional mail order (even before the Internet) and there the key to success was the mailing list – that was where the “gold” was. The most difficult and expensive part of our marketing was getting that first order. Once we had the customers contact details the rest was easy and the profits rolled in.

But in these modern times eBay and Amazon traders they do not seem to get this simple principle. I talk to traders who have 70,000+ email addresses and yet never follow up and ask for the next order – simple stuff and very profitable – especially if you capture the subsequent orders on your site without eBay or Amazon commission to pay.

At the very least traders should be tapping into these profits by using a simple email system such as GetResponse or Constant Contact and sending a regular email newsletter. And if you are serious then you should be using a system like Keap / Infusionsoft where you can automate much of your ongoing marketing – just like the big companies do. It is all possible these days for smaller traders.
