22/10/24 – Seamlessly Deliver Digital Products with HighLevel: A Comprehensive Guide for Store Owners

HighLevel provides a seamless digital product delivery service for store owners. Customers receive instant access to purchased products via secure download links delivered to their email. Digital files are managed through the Product Details page, while downloads are facilitated through the Customer Access Center with the OTP login flow mechanism.

## Navigation for Store Owners

1. When creating a product variant, a store owner will select the product type as either Physical or Digital under: Payments > Products > Select a Product > Variant Page > Shipping and Delivery.
2. Digital products allow up to 10 files to be uploaded, each at a maximum of 100MB. If additional files are required, the creation of a ZIP file under 100MB for upload is suggested. Saving is necessary after uploading.
3. Variants of Physical or Digital product types have the potential for creation. For instance, if books are being sold, variants like Ebook, Audio Book or Physical books can be created.
4. The “Enable Order Confirmation Email” Toggle must be activated under Payments > Settings > Notifications to allow email delivery of digital products.

## Instructions for Customers

1. An Order Confirmation Email complete with an “Access Downloads” button to recover their digital files is sent to customers after checkout.
2. This button redirect customers to the Customer Access Center, where login using an OTP sent to the email used at checkout is required.
3. Digital downloads can be accessed directly through the unique URL: `/store/account/orders`.

## Points to Consider

– The delivery of digital products is only available for orders through ECommerce stores.
– Cash on Delivery (COD) is not viable if any products in the order are digital.
– No shipping fees are levied on digital products, but standard shipping charges apply to physical items in the cart.
– Digital upsell products must be purchased using online payment methods if a physical product is purchased using COD.
– Users have a download limit of 10 files, each capped at 100 MB.
– Ensure the “Enable Order Confirmation Email” Toggle is activated under Payments > Settings > Notifications for email delivery of digital products.
– Login is required for file downloads.
– Files will download concurrently as separate files, not as a zipped file.
– All digital items in an order will be automatically fulfilled with fulfillment details rendered as vacant fields.
