22/10/24 – Boosting Store Revenue: A Step-by-Step Guide on Upselling with HighLevel

## Introduction:

HighLevel empowers store owners to enhance their average order value by upselling additional products post-checkout. With only a few steps, an Uphold funnel can be created encompassing the entire customer journey from the Checkout Page to the Thank You Page, maximizing revenue on every sale.

## Usage Guide:

1. **Upsell page:** Establish a new page for Upsell in conjunction with the existing store pages. Augment it with a full-width section and a row within it.

2. **Adding an Upsell Element:** Locate and click on the “Add Element” button and proceed to drag and drop the Upsell element into the row. Note that multiple upsell components can be added to different columns in a row.

3. **Configuring the Upsell Element:** Choose the upsell element to alter its settings.

– The shipping charges for each Upsell element can either be activated or deactivated by using the toggle in the builder preview.
– Within the Upsell settings, the desired product can be searched for and selected. HighLevel then necessitates the configuration of Sale Action, dictating the redirection path once the ‘Buy Now’ button is clicked. The user can either be redirected to another upsell page or the Thank You page.

4. **Bypass mechanism for the Upsell Page:** Users may bypass the Upsell page through a button linked to the Thank You page.

5. **Configuring the Checkout Page:** The Sale Action should be selected as “Go to Page” and the Website Page should stand as the newly formed Upsell page.

## Important Details:

– With the purchase of an Upsell product, a distinct order is initiated.
– Shipping options for Upsell products can be either turned on or off. If activated, users have the liberty to select shipping rates from a dropdown in the Upsell component.
– To bypass the Upsell page, a button redirecting users to the Thank You page must be included without requiring a purchase. In the absence of this, users must finalize a purchase to reach the Thank You page.
– For recognizable upselling experiences, HighLevel recommends crafting a dedicated page featuring the Upsell element.
