A number of my clients have asked me about Slybroadcast and to investigate how it could be used as part of their sales and marketing process.
So what is Slybroadcast? What Slybroadcast does is to automatically drop pre-recorded voicemail messages onto a mobile phone account without the mobile phone ringing.
So when would you as a marketer want to do this? Well, when we capture someone’s contact details we can ask for a mobile number. Then at some point, we can call them. However, these days many people will screen out and ignore calls from telephone numbers they do not recognise. So you could find you or your sales team spending lots of time calling mobile numbers and leaving messages – which it time-consuming. With Slybroadcast we cut out the calling stage and simply drop a pre-recorded message into the contacts voice mail. So we could do thousands of calls within minutes now with Slybroadcast.
So my clients then asked – does Slybroadcast work in the UK, and the answer is yes.

And then they asked – can we integrate Slybroadcast with Keap / Infusionsoft. And the answer is yes, however we need to use Zapier as the connector between Infusonsoft and Slybroadcast. Once we do this then we can trigger ringless voicemail messages to go out as part of an integrated Keap / Infusionsoft campaign along with email, texts and direct mail if we so choose.
(Just a word of advice – as of today Aug 2020 the Slybroadcast Zapier tool is in Beta. So when I went into Zapier I could not find the Slybroadcast tool, which puzzled me for a few hours until I checked with Slybroadcast tech support who told me it was currently in beta with Zapier, they then gave me a link to install the Beta version).
From a marketing point of view, this is a tool that should be used sparingly. Imagine you as a recipient where to find your voicemail filled with a series of messages which they have to review and delete. So it’s a very powerful tool which you have to use very carefully to avoid upsetting prospects and customers. And on this note, if many marketers start to deploy this or similar tools there could be a backlash from consumers to “voicemail spam”, so this is something to be aware of when deploying ringless voicemail messages.
