A number of years back I read (I cannot recall where) that working with two screens on a PC or Mac increases your efficiency by around 30%. And from my personal experience, I can believe it. It really amazes me when I am working with clients who still only have one screen to work on and it is the first tip I give them – get two screens.
Below you will find a picture of my “working from home” set-up that that includes a number of “sub” tips.
1. Two monitors. The laptop is on a riser to bring it to the same height as the monitor.
2. Wireless keyboard and mouse. This is more comfortable to use than the laptop keyboard and mouse pad and means the screen can be alongside the larger monitor. It also means that I can easy free up the laptop to move location by unplugging the power and HDMI from the laptop only. Plus there are no wires trailing over the desk.

3. I have the window behind the table, this provides great lighting for Zoom and Skype calls.
