[UPDATE – March 2022. The email open goal has now been removed from the Keap Campaign builder. It was never an accurate goal as it relied on variables outside of Keap’s control. Plus with Apple stopping reporting back tracking data it means that this goal could not be relied upon to give us valuable inputs to control our campaigns, so rather than have an unreliable goal it was removed from Campaign Builder.]
The Keap / Infusionsoft Email Open Goal was finally added to Keap / Infusionsoft Campaign Builder in June 2019. At long last!

But I advise you to use this goal with caution in your marketing and always plan for the worst case scenario ie that the contact did not open the email. Of all the goals in Keap / Infusionsoft this one relies on third parties to “tell” Keap / Infusionsoft when this behaviour occurs. So we are reliant on email providers like Gmail, Office 365, Hotmail etc etc to tell Keap / Infusionsoft that the email has been opened. If they fail to report back we do not know that they opened the email. In addition in say Gmail, it is possible to preview an email without opening the full email. This I often do myself – so even though I have effectively read the email it would not be reported back to Keap / Infusionsoft.
Therefore from a marketing point of view I would only use this goal as an extra bonus to know who has definitely opened an email, but I would plan out my campaigns so that even those contacts who do not appear to have opened the email are still accomodated.

So not only was Keap / Infusionsoft being used as a sales and marketing tool but has also transformed into an operational management tool for the delivery of weddings too.

So to have one system which will not only market weddings, but also deliver them is just amazing for us. From when I met Julian we were running two weddings and when we implemented Keap / Infusionsoft, and we're now just over two years later, running this year about 54 weddings, so to go from two weddings to 54 weddings in the space of two years is incredible. This is with no advertising. This is with implementing a system that actively collects the data of the customers and then uses that to do proactive marketing.
