First thoughts of Keap / Infusionsoft Campaign Builder from an ex MailChimp user

A new Keap / Infusionsoft client who previously used MailChimp just sent me the following review.
“I just finished a 90 minute introductory call with Julian and I am amazed by how much I have learned about Keap / Infusionsoft in such a short space of time. My expertise in email marketing is predominantly using Mailchimp which has served me well up until recent years where the company I was formerly with grew at a really fast rate and Mailchimp just wasn’t providing the functionality the business needed to track sales effectively. Our customers were either slipping through the cracks, ignored after buying a product from us, or received lots of emails at once, and therefore opportunities – and sales – were lost.
I now work for a company who have been using Keap / Infusionsoft for several years and we asked Julian to help train me up in Keap / Infusionsoft. After the 90 min call, it’s clear to see the impact Keap / Infusionsoft has on customer satisfaction and team email management, which Mailchimp doesn’t provide.
Just a few features I thought were particularly strong that Mailchimp can’t provide (all aspects that Julian taught me on the call)…
It’s a project management tool linked to customer journeys
Keap / Infusionsoft lets you assign tasks based on specific points in a customer journey to team members – that’s pretty cool. It means that whenever a physical product is bought, it automatically tells the person who handles shipping where to ship, when to ship and what to ship. This saves so much internal admin, and you can relax knowing that nobody has slipped through the net.
You can make notes throughout your campaign sequences
This was such a key problem with Mailchimp for me. I found myself always having to tell our team (verbally) what campaigns mean what, and why I chose to trigger this. With Keap / Infusionsoft, you can leave a trail of comments for yourself and any of your team to hop into your campaign and understand exactly what things do.
There are lots more features which are great but those are just a few things I am excited to put into practice in this early stage. Julian also walked me through how to build an Autoresponder + more in depth campaigns that guide a customer through a journey with your brand. It’s super responsive, and it makes me feel in contact directly with our customers.
There’s no doubt that going forward I may make some mistakes as I practice using the tool, but at least I now have a clear understanding of the value Keap / Infusionsoft brings to our customer engagement and it’s capabilities.
