Addressing the Issue
HighLevel acknowledges the recent changes in Google’s identification measures. Previously, Google only supported one id trademark known as gclid. Now, Google supports three id types: gclid, wbraid, and gbraid. Nevertheless, not too long ago, only the gclid id was supported in HighLevel’s contacts, attributions, and Conversion API. This setup led to access challenges with the Google AdWords feature for users in scenarios where the gclid id was absent in their contacts, resulting in unsuccessful workflows. Contacts that lacked these new ids were omitted.
Action Taken
Upon careful examination of this predicament, HighLevel decided to include the newly supported wbraid and gbraid ids in addition to the already existing gclid support. Now, the Conversion API is capable of saving all three ids in both attributions and contacts properly. As such, whether the contacts have wbraid or gbraid, they will be attributed as Paid Search.
Significance
HighLevel acknowledges the importance of this modification. The inclusion of gbraid and wbraid ids to supplement the previously supported gclid id will ensure precise attribution mapping. This advancement permits all contacts, regardless of the ids they bear, to be uploaded to conversions. An anticipated consequence of this improvement is the resolution of issues related to missing Google IDs, consequently eliminating future problems of this nature.
