26/03/25 – Understanding the New CRM Features of HighLevel: Auto-Population of Sample Data for Subaccounts

HighLevel has introduced an exciting new feature. Now, when HighLevel creates a fresh subaccount, the CRM is automatically filled with demo data. This data samples Opportunities, Pipelines, Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Companies, and Tags, providing a clear snapshot of each module’s functionality. To differentiate this demo data from real data, each sample record features the prefix “(Example)”.

Crucial Advantages

The advantage of these pre-filled examples is that it allows users to promptly grasp how different CRM modules interlink. It enables new subaccounts to promptly learn about and understand Opportunities, Pipelines, and other related records. This accelerates CRM adoption rate and reduces the confusion that usually accompanies initial setup.

Important Details

Keep in mind that if HighLevel fetches the pipeline for a location via snapshots and no default pipeline is set, Sample Opportunities (including the pipeline itself) will not be created. Nevertheless, Sample Contacts, Tasks, Notes, Companies, and Tags will continue to be added.

Complete Control

Users at HighLevel have total control. They can alter or remove the sample data at any given time.

Key Obeservable Impact

There are two primary impacts of these changes. Firstly, the onboarding process for new subaccounts becomes significantly streamlined due to these ready-to-use samples. Secondly, the existing subaccounts remain unaffected by this change.

Overall, combining these elements allows HighLevel to reduce setup friction and clarify how the system works, leading to a smoother customer experience.
