At HighLevel, the release of a UI validation feature to automatically check the 24-hour messaging limit per phone number is a recent initiative. The purpose is to prevent exceeding Meta’s permissible thresholds. By doing this, HighLevel assists in avoiding hitting the Tier-based limits—1,000 messages per 24 hours—thus significantly reducing the risk of account bans or the phone number being flagged.
1. Enforcement of messaging limit
2. Auto-checking of selected contacts number in a bulk WhatsApp message.
3. Display of an error if the selection surpasses the 24-hour Tier limit.
4. Clear and actionable error messages
5. Clear warning to users when they exceed their limit.
6. Guidance on increasing the limit if required (e.g., sending messages to a minimum of 500 unique customers over a 7-day rolling period).
7. Improved compliance and phone number health
8. Reduction in the chance of being flagged by WhatsApp.
9. Assurance that your phone number remains in good standing with Meta.
Messaging Limit Exceeded!
HighLevel regrets to inform that WhatsApp bulk messages cannot be sent to 344,611 contacts. The current messaging limit is 1,000 customers per 24 hours. To increase your messaging limit, engage in conversations with a minimum of 500 unique customers over a 7-day rolling period.
Messaging limits define the number of business-initiated conversations that can be started in a 24-hour rolling window. A “business-initiated conversation” occurs when a WhatsApp user is sent a marketing, utility, or authentication template for the first time within that 24-hour period.
Most new business phone numbers can initially send up to 250 business-initiated conversations within 24 hours. Over time (and based on account quality), this limit could be increased to 1K (1,000), 10K (10,000), 100K (100,000) or even unlimited.
From 250 to 1K conversations per 24 hours, upgrading can be done by completing business verification. Submission of your business for [business verification](https://developers.facebook.com/business/help/2058515294227817) is required. If approved, HighLevel will analyze your messaging quality to judge if your messaging activity warrants a limit increase. The decision on a messaging limit increase will be based on this.
Beyond 1K, automatic scaling happens when your phone number consistently remains connected and maintains a high-quality rating. If your phone number’s quality rating is low, Meta may retain the 250 limit until the quality improves.
