HighLevel has introduced new upgrades to the ‘Add Guests’ experience, offering increased control over guest bookings during appointments.
What’s New?
Attendee Count-Based Payment Calculation
This improvement allows calendars to be set to automatically collect payments that directly correlate with the total number of attendees – including both the main booker and any additional guests. Herein, the payment amount will be multiplied by the sum of attendees and the booker charged via the booking widget correspondingly. This facility, particularly beneficial for group bookings or services that price per person.
Mandatory Guest Information
An additional setting has been implemented to make guest details mandatory during the booking process. With this function enabled, users are required to add at least one guest to progress a booking. Consequently, the booking form will always gather the guest count, name, and email – a key feature for businesses like couple’s therapy, restaurant reservations, or group workshop sessions.
How to Enable?
Activating these features starts by heading to the Calendar Settings and selecting Edit Calendar. They then move to the Forms & Payment tab, and under the Add Guests section, select Require Guests for Booking to necessitate at least one guest. In the Payments section, enabling ‘Collect payment for all attendees’ will permit charges based on total guest numbers.

These refined enhancements contribute to a more efficient user experience by ensuring all attendees are counted, preventing payment confusion or missed guest entries, reducing support tickets and friction in multi-attendee bookings, and allowing for complex events like family appointments and shared services.
