HighLevel is excited to announce the latest addition to its CRM — the Group Chat feature. This powerful tool offers an improved conversation functionality. It enables engaging in group SMS conversation with multiple contacts simultaneously, fostering enhanced collaboration, unified communication, and ensuring everyone stays continually informed and connected.
What’s New
Group SMS conversations through the CRM can now be initiated using LeadConnector phone numbers. The phone number must, however, be from the US/Canada to facilitate the group chat function. In a functioning style mimicking group SMS on mobile phones, all participants added to the group can both receive and send messages. Something to take note of – HighLevel allows up to 10 participants to be added to the group.
Getting Started
Creating a group chat in HighLevel is straightforward:
- Select ‘Create a new message,’ then ‘Group Message’ from the Conversations section to create a group chat
- Select a phone number for the group chat and pick participants; both primary and secondary numbers of contacts can be included
- Once the group has compiled, generate the Group and send the message. It will be dispatched to all specified contacts in the group, and any reply from a contact reaches everyone, ensuring continuous updates for all participants
- To view added contacts in the group chat, it’s as simple as clicking on the chevron icon beside the contact names on the top bar or the right panel
- Upon creating a group, messages will continue being sent to initial numbers added, despite contact deletion or number change; “Updated” and “Deleted” tags will appear beside these contacts’ names
- HighLevel also offers the ability to monitor the status per contact for each message, indicating whether the message has been sent, delivered, or failed
Access Privileges
- HighLevel users with exclusively assigned data access can create and view group chats that only include assigned contacts
- The group chat can only send messages if the user has access to the phone number used for its creation
- Admins have access to all numbers added at a location, while users can use the default number, numbers assigned to them, and all unassigned numbers
Why the Group Chat is Beneficial
HighLevel believes the Group Chat feature promotes:
- Enhanced Collaboration: Group Chat simplifies the process of bringing multiple stakeholders together, creating more efficient and effective communication. This becomes particularly advantageous in scenarios like real estate transactions where updated information to all parties is crucial
- Streamlined Messaging: By facilitating group conversations, the tedious nature of individual messaging is void, saving valuable time and keeping discussions systematically organized in one place
- Real-Time Engagement: The functionality wherein all participants can contribute to the conversation in real-time inherently ensures everyone stays informed simultaneously
Note: Group Chat can be enabled from Labs.
