# Introducing the Add Contact Info feature from HighLevel
HighLevel recently introduced the Add Contact Info feature. This feature allows users to add or update contact information—such as name, phone number, email, and more—directly through the AI bot. As a result, HighLevel ensures accurate and up-to-date contact data while simplifying the process for managing contact information.
## Guidance to Access and Use the Add Contact Info Feature:
Firstly, navigate to the Bot Goals tab and click on the Add Contact Info button to access the details. When creating a new bot, it is essential to edit or assign a bot name before accessing this feature.
## Setting Up the Fields:
The initial step involves assigning an action name to identify the update, such as “Contact’s Date of Birth.” Then, select the field to update like name, phone, email, business name, or date of birth.
Then, provide a short description of the update. For instance:
If the Date of Birth needs updating, write: “This is the birth date of the contact.” Likewise, for updating Business Name, specify: “This is the business name of the contact.”
Optionally, you can provide an example of the updated information for clear understanding (e.g., “5th Jan 1990”). Once final, click Save to finalize the settings.
## Important Notes from HighLevel:
The bot from HighLevel only updates empty fields in the contact information. Although email and phone numbers update automatically, manual updates through this feature aren’t required.
## Guidelines for Bot Prompts:
After saving or updating contact information, it is beneficial to include explicit instructions in the bot’s prompt to collect customer details. In case of absence of these instructions, the bot won’t request the required information, and the field will remain unupdated.
As an example, when booking an appointment, use this mandatory instruction: “Before booking an appointment, always start the conversation by asking these questions one after another:”
– Ask for the customer’s name.
– Ask for the customer’s email.
– Ask for the customer’s phone number.
– Ask for the customer’s date of birth.
– Ask for the customer’s business name.
Adherence to these instructions will ensure accurate and efficient data collection, improving the quality of customer interactions through HighLevel.
